Hello there! I am Mark and welcome to this attempt of showcasing you my passion – traveling and collecting.

Most people love to travel, to discover places both on and off the beaten paths. More than the sights, people look for experience that connects them even more with the place they visit,  one that permeates into the heart, captivates the soul and titillates the spirit for adventure and fun. Like most travelers, this consideration serves as my travel philosophy in order to make my journeys more fun and meaningful. I want each and every experience worth a keep and  one that will become a special part of my life.

My goal is to visit the different provinces of the Philippines, up from Batanes down to Tawi-tawi. Many people have already achieved this feat and I am a little bit envious every time I read about their fantastic trips. Yet, far more than the envy, their stories serve as my motivation to do the same, and do it in my own unique, little way!

While I am still starting to penetrate places and spread my footprints around the entire Philippine archipelago, I have already enjoyed many sights through my collection of tourism brochures, video presentations, posters, postcards and other collateral. My collection includes materials from almost all the provinces, cities and towns of the Philippines, and from almost one-hundred fifty countries of the six inhabited continents of the world.

My collection is one of the treasures that I have. Priceless it is that I cannot exchange it even for a travel to the moon. I want my collection of tourism collateral to become more than a mere collection. My objective is to create it as a repository of travel literature where people can learn about different places and acquaint themselves of those places’ history, culture, tourism, geography, people, festivals, cuisine, etc.

Traveling and collecting is indeed more fun. My heart gets bigger whenever I do these activities as I know that I am doing them not to splurge (because I don’t have much) but to be fulfilled – to learn and to witness the wonders of God’s creations. To travel is to live, to collect is to learn.

On that note, join me as I embark on my goal of setting foot upon the eighty provinces of the Philippines and as I expand my tourism collateral collection! Mabbalo!
